CHIEF OGBADU IBE EKPEGHERE
Chief Ogbadu Ibe Ekpeghere was born in 1936 into a polygamous family of the Late Ibe Ekpeghere of Ndi-Nsi Compound Agbaja Autonomous Community Nkporo, His mother was the Late Madam Ude Obuji of Ndi-Uba Compound Agbo-Oha Autonomous Community. His Father was a farmer. Chief O.C Ibe was the only surviving child of his mother. His mother died while he was still a young boy.

Mrs. Ada Kalu Ogbuagu, Nee Ada Ezekiel from 1961, attended St. Paul's Catholic School, Okopodi Itu, now Akwa-Ibom State where she dominated, not only in academic diligence but also in beauty pageant where she earned the name “Ada Nma”. Because of her illness she stopped at standard three.
Nkporo Table Tennis Competition
The inaugural Nkporo Table Tennis Competition took place on January 2nd and 3rd at the Ugwujimba Hall, bringing together sports enthusiasts from the Nkporo community. The event was sponsored by Mr Ama Okocha Ufere and meticulously planned by Mr. Suleiman Onwuka and Mr. Ikechukwu Otu. Ama Okocha Ufere expressed that the vision behind the tournament was to encourage active participation from Nkporo.
Nkporo Youth Football Tournament 2024 to 2025 Season.
This football tournament was borne out of the love Hon Okocha Uchenna Onuoha has for Nkporo Youths. His primary aim is to unify and unite Nkporo Youths through Sports. This ambition to unite Nkporo Youths through football and to sponsor some good players to get professional club sides in Nigeria and abroad started in 2018 and has been a success to date.
H.R.H Eze Nnam Erua Akpala Ejiama
His administration officially established Leper Colony in Nkporo at Abuosi Ikeogu across parts of Nchara and Orurueka lands to Iroyi Etitiama which attracted many patients from other divisions of Igbo land, the first visiting doctor was Dr. Davy, he visits every Thursday of the week.
Ikechukwu Otuu Egbuta, PhD.
Dr Ikechukwu Egbuta is a scholar-critic of world literature and literary philosophy. He engages in multidimensional and interdisciplinary research approach. He coauthored one of the finest books about Nkporo with High Chief Jackson Ude, with the title Nkporo in Africa: Narratives of the Most Hospitable People in West Africa.
